The medicine wheel, the circle of life, is a map. It can be used to relate the elements and components of nature and life to each other, to the whole, and to the observer. It contains everything. And because this is so, we can find answers in it, answers to questions that arise in life. We can connect with the energies of life and find our inner balance and orientation in it.

In this two-day seminar, we will work with a medicine wheel that can also be used indoors and think about the various possible assignments as well as about rituals in general. We will approach the wheel in guided meditations and shamanic journeys. We will work within the wheel itself, searching for answers and a balance of forces. We will find the medicine wheel in (and around) ourselves.

I am not concerned with the widespread, horoscope-like representations such as Sun Bear's medicine wheel, or statements such as “the element earth is associated with the north.” I am more interested in the underlying universal structures—the map of life, so to speak. I would like to explore this wheel with the participants, enabling them to find their own personal medicine wheel in the long term.

All of this serves as a personal experience first and foremost, but can also be used as a tool for working with clients.
